Primary Outreach Service (POS)

A warm welcome to our Primary Outreach Service (POS).

Our small team offers support to Oldham primary schools when a child is experiencing significant difficulties in school, and their behaviour puts them at risk of exclusion. We assist school staff in identifying barriers to learning and improving inclusion and outcomes for specific pupils. This is achieved by helping colleagues understand a child’s behaviour as a form of communication and trialling new approaches that help children engage, enjoy, and achieve in their learning.

Schools may refer to our service through the attached referral form. If a parent or carer feels their child requires intervention from POS, they should first discuss this with the school’s SENDCo.

All completed referral forms should be submitted by the referring primary school to the Service Manager, Mrs. S. Qureshi, via S.Qureshi@kingslandschool.org.
