KS4 English Literature
Pupils follow the AQA English Literature course of study in years 10 and 11.
Aims:

To provide consistency and ensure parallel learning in line with texts studied by pupils in mainstream schools.

To not only prepare for the demands of the GCSE examination, but to further develop and foster a lifelong love of reading and literature.
Texts studied include the following:

KS4 English Language

Speaking and Listening Communication is an integral part of pupil development and as such pupils will be involved in formal and informal activities which will include:

Mathematics
At Kingsland School we provide an exciting and challenging Maths curriculum. The curriculum aims to ensure that all pupils become fluent in the fundamentals of Maths and are able to reason mathematically by following a line of enquiry as well as solve problems by applying their Maths to a variety of routine and non-routine problems. We use a number of up-to-date teaching methods and resources to engage pupils and relate their mathematical knowledge to everyday life around them.
Our aim is to make Maths more engaging, challenging and relevant to modern life and we create lessons to support this.
The curriculum seeks to ensure that our pupils are able:

Science
The Science Curriculum is broad and tailored to meet the need of every pupil.
A base line assessment is carried out for each pupil upon entry to our school.
Key Stage 4
KS4 pupils have access to the following accreditation in Science:

Edexcel Foundation Entry Level.
Entry Level Science is continually assessed as follows:
2 x Biology exams.
2 x Chemistry exams.
2 x Physics exams.

Further Entry Level Science.
There is no end of year exam
